Ajna Collection:

The Ajna Collection is named after the sixth chakra, The Ajna, which is the ‘third eye’ or ‘the mind’s eye’.  These phrases refer to the human ability for visual perception, imagination, visualization, and memory.  It is located in the Medulla plexus, pineal plexus, and point between the eyebrows.  It concerns itself with self-realization.

With photography I use my subjects to interpret who I am and how I perceive or realize myself.  How do I do that?  Well, as you look at my pieces, you will notice which aspects of any given subject are warm to me or distant, possibly even frightening or comedic.

In other words, this is what attracted me to the whole, each piece of the whole in its own dimension, with its own subtle existence.  Eventually, after taking in the individual images, I captured it as a whole and recreated it, in pieces, as a picture that I saw with my ‘third eye’.

I interpret the image not just by choosing to make it my subject but by further investigating my attraction to it in the first place.  So, through these following pictures, I did not just photograph the bridge, or the crowd, but took the time through these subjects to tell you who I am.
